April 2: Exodus 36-38

Exodus 36-38

“Then Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful person in whom the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to the work to perform it” (36:2).  Over and over, the text mentions people “whose heart stirred with a skill” or “everyone whose spirit moved him” (35:21, 26).  Bezalel the master craftsman, skilled personally, was even anointed to teach others.  The people’s hearts were totally involved in the building of the tabernacle, and it was their priority.

The Israelites had no country, they had conquered no cities, yet they gave all they had to build a place of worship.
