Mark 4:35-41

“Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” (v41).  There was a huge gap between the disciples’ concept of Jesus and His real identity.  As raging waves were calmed by His voice, they glimpsed reality: they were in a boat with the Master of the Universe.  They were “very much afraid” (v41).  They ate with, walked with, and learned from this man daily.  How could they be living side by side with the Son of God?

Sometimes we forget who Jesus really is.  Our daily companion is God Himself, the One who holds the universe together (Col 1:17).
