II Corinthians 2

"But we have the mind of Christ." (2:16). Along with the power of the Spirit, there is also a wisdom that is incomprehensible to unbelievers (v7-8). We have received "the Spirit who is from God" (v12). The Spirit teaches us to trust and obey Jesus, and to respond to His daily guidance. Daily, we love Him more. This intimate relationship and dependence is foolishness to a world fixated on acquiring things they can see.

The "word of the cross" (v18) and the fellowship of the Spirit won't necessarily produce worldly success, but they will produce a life of joy and peace.
