Psalm 91
“My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust!” (v2). God is called our “refuge and fortress” often in the psalms because we need a safe place in a world of trouble and danger. While celebrating the beautiful, good universe God created, the psalmist also experienced “terror by night” and arrows in the day. He knew that our powerful Deliverer never leaves us to face evil alone (v9-10).
“Under His wings you may seek refuge” (v4). Not wanting us to struggle through storms alone, our Father invites us to come in and find shelter.
