April 26: I Corinthians 6:1-11

I Corinthians 6:1-11

“Is it so, that there is not among you one wise man who will be able to decide between his brethren …?” (v5).  The Corinthians were separating “spiritual” things from the rest of life. Just like the pagans, they were dragging one another to court over small conflicts (v1-2), as if no one within the church had the wisdom to mediate.  While teaching obedience to secular authority (Rom 13:1), Paul also urged believers to try godly counsel in settling non-criminal disputes.

Everything is spiritual.  We can go to the Word and to each other not just with questions about faith, but also for help with our daily lives.
