April 26: Psalm 91

Psalm 91

"You will not be afraid of the terror by night" (v5). There is no room for fear when we "dwell in the shelter of the Most High" (v1). While the Old and the New Testaments demonstrate that sickness, accidents, and loss may touch our lives, we can face life with courage because we live in the presence of God (v9). The efforts of the devil (the serpent, pestilence and destruction, v6, 13) can't separate us God. He is with us in the present and knows the future; we are never alone or helpless (v15).

Under His wings, we are secure.
