April 27: I Corinthians 3

I Corinthians 3

"For all things belong to you ... and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God" (v21-23). The Corinthians were "walking like mere men" (v3), trying to promote themselves and their apostles. They were bringing old preoccupations into their new lives by elevating human leaders, effort, and wisdom. Paul reminded them that nothing can be accomplished without God (v6). However, He allows us to be fellow-workers (v9) and even temples of the Holy Spirit (v16).

We don't need to fight for titles, positions, or honor. Beloved children of the Father, we already have "all things."
