Mark 5:21-43
“But the woman, fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him …” (v33). This suffering woman had many reasons to fear. Her illness made her unclean (Lev 15), and she had secretly touched a famous man (which normally would have made him unclean, too). But her faith in Jesus and longing to be healed overcame her fear of shame and exposure. Jesus didn’t disappoint her; she was healed.
Fear of exposure and condemnation can keep us trapped in suffering. But Jesus always welcomes us with compassion, ready to heal and save.
