April 5: Romans 15:14-33

Romans 15:14-33

“For I hope to see you in passing …” (v24-28).  Paul thought of Rome as a place he longed to go “in passing,” on his way to Spain.  Paul’s primary calling was to preach the gospel “not where Christ was already named” (v20-21).  However, the logistics of how God accomplished this was often surprising, even to Paul.  Instead of seeing Rome “in passing,” he was imprisoned and died there, having established a strong church.

As we willingly follow God despite our limited vision, He is faithful to lead us into those “good works” prepared for us beforehand in Christ Jesus (Eph 2:10).
