Exodus 39-40
“For throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night” (40:38). The colors, materials, and layout of the tabernacle were rich with meaning, which was why the Israelites built it “just as the Lord had commanded Moses” (v23, 25, 29). As they worshipped there, feast by feast and season by season, they learned about God’s holiness and justice and beauty.
Yet it was only a beautiful structure, until God’s glory filled it. Then it became a holy meeting place between God and His people.
