Psalm 112
“Light arises in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious and compassionate and righteous” (v4). The psalmist reminds us that fearing God leads to good things; our devotion is not in vain or pointless. When we follow God closely, the light of His love comforts us even in the dark times. Those who know God “will not fear evil tidings [bad news]; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord” (v7).
Jesus said, “In the world, you will have tribulation.” But we don’t have to live in fear and anxiety, because He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
