Galatians 5:13-25
“For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’” (v14). Rather than conforming to the ritual details of the Old Law, we are called to love one another. The Law can’t protect us against sin. “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh” (v16). Some think that outward signs of conformity will produce righteousness, but holiness only comes by cultivating the inner life of the Spirit.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness …” (v22).
