Luke 21:1-9
“And He saw a certain poor widow putting in two small copper coins …” (v2). While Jesus was affirming the widow’s sacrifice, He was also demonstrating His ability to see into the hearts of men and women. The disciples saw the rich putting their gifts in the offering, and they probably saw the poor woman as well. But Jesus really saw her, her past, present and future, her motives and her faith. Jesus saw that her offering wasn’t just money; it was an act of amazing faith and trust in God.
Unnoticed by the world, every quiet act of loving obedience delights our Father.
