Luke 22
“But I am among you as one who serves” (v27). 2000 years later, Jesus’ statement of servant-leadership is no less radical than it was on that Passover evening. Society was more obviously hierarchical then, but we still today have bosses and presidents and leaders of all sorts. Jesus, with all the authority of heaven and earth, used His power to serve and bless others. “Just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you that you may eat and drink at My table” (v29-30).
The King of all kings poured Himself out for us, and calls us to pour ourselves out for one another.
