Judges 7-9
“Arise, go down against the camp, for I have given it into your hands” (7:9). God treated Gideon as a man of faith, despite the tests Gideon had performed to prove that God was indeed speaking to him (6:13). Once convinced, Gideon took God seriously: he felt sure he would die after seeing “the angel of the Lord face to face” (6:22). But instead, God used Gideon’s practical approach to faith to rescue Israel.
“Where are all His miracles?” (6:13). Gideon expected God to deliver Israel. His question reflected searching faith, not apathetic doubt, which is why God answered: “Go in this your strength” (6:14).
