Isaiah 1-2
“ ‘Come now, and let us reason together’, says the Lord, ‘Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow’ ” (1:18). By the power of the Spirit, Isaiah saw both Judah’s current rebellion (v4) and her eventual redemption. Isaiah told the Israelites that it was time to stop their meaningless sacrifices and instead “learn to do good; seek justice” (v17). They had strayed from God’s path, but He had a plan to rescue them.
In the middle of Judah’s national crisis, Isaiah glimpsed a peaceful future of righteousness (ch 2).
