Luke 24
“Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?” (v38). Even though the disciples had seen Jesus raise Lazarus and others from the dead, they had a hard time believing He had risen. He appeared to the women first, but their report seemed like “nonsense” to the men (v11). Jesus was patient with His followers, however, and appeared to them many times, explaining everything “beginning with Moses” (v27). He “opened their minds to the Scriptures” (v45), matching their experience with prophecy.
Our questions and doubts don’t bother God. If we keep following, He leads us into more faith, more understanding, and deeper commitment.
