Isaiah 11-15

“And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength …” (11:2). The holy “branch of Jesse,” the Messiah, is the leader all people want to serve. He is the “Wonderful Counselor” and “Prince of Peace,” but He also judges the wicked. In His kingdom, “the wolf will dwell with the lamb” and “they will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain” (11:9).

While we wait for Jesus’ return, we can already live as citizens of His Kingdom. Filled with His Spirit, we are His ambassadors in a broken world.
