Psalm 111

“I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart, in the company of the upright and in the assembly” (v1). Few things are as important as coming together with other believers in order to worship and give thanks. We strengthen each other by telling what God has done for us. When we are discouraged, frightened, or even entangled in sin, our hearts are moved by hearing that “the Lord is gracious and compassionate” (v4).

“He has made His wonders to be remembered” (v4). Our perspective on the present changes when we meditate on God’s wonderful acts.
