II Samuel 19-24

"For He has made an everlasting covenant with me, ordered in all things, and secured, for all my salvation and all my desire ..." (23:5). David's psalms encourage us to trust God, as he did. At times he took control into his own hands, and tragedy resulted (ch 24). But as a young man and as king, David pleased God by boldly calling out for help. God always answered. "He bowed the heavens also, and came down ...He rescued me" (22:10-20).

We are "ordered in all things, and secured." Nothing can separate us from Christ, God-with-us, today, tomorrow and forever.
