Psalm 143
“Let Thy good Spirit lead me on level ground” (v10). In this song, the psalmist went simply asking for help. He was caught in some terrible agony – “my heart is appalled within me” – and needed redemption and healing. However, he also asked to be led to “level ground;” he wanted to get off the rollercoaster of sin and brokenness. “Teach me the way in which I should walk … Teach me to do Thy will” (v8-10).
God is our refuge in every kind of difficulty. He also wants to teach us His will, because His ways lead to health and peace.
