Acts 11
“And the news about them reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas off to Antioch” (v22). As the early church began multiplying, the apostles were careful to preserve both relationships and respect for truth. When Peter received his earth-shaking vision that meant Jewish and Gentile believers could fellowship together, he explained it in great detail to his fellow leaders (v4), and they accepted it (v18). When Greeks began following Jesus in Antioch, Barnabas was sent to observe and encourage the church.
Spirit-filled leadership, deep relationships, and concern for truth allowed the church to spread the good news of Jesus throughout the world.
