Acts 13:1-4
"Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away" (v3). Antioch was a good place to be for Paul, Barnabas, and other believers (ch 12). The church was healthy and growing, and Paul taught there for at least a year. The Jesus-followers, both Jews and Greeks, were first called "Christians" there. They chose to obey the Spirit's prompting to send out their leaders, rather than keep them in Antioch any longer.
These disciples, both those who were sent and those who stayed, offer a pattern of obedience. They chose sacrifice over comfort.
