Acts 6
"And after praying, they laid their hands on them" (v6). In the early church, there was no distinction between "spiritual" and "non-spiritual" work. The apostles devoted themselves, uniquely, to prayer and the Word. But the men appointed to serve tables (and to organize other projects) were also "full of the Spirit and of wisdom" (v3). Indeed, one of these leaders was Stephen, so "full of grace and power" that his preaching and miracles stirred up intense persecution.
More than any particular skill, serving in the Body of Christ requires maturity - being "full of the Spirit and wisdom."
