Revelation 10-12
“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony” (12:11). In John’s time, Christians were being persecuted, as they have always been in certain places. Though these believers looked weak, and even were put to death, John saw them as “overcomers.” They trusted in “the blood of the Lamb” – Jesus’ sacrifice which saves us – and knew they were safe in God’s hands.
We do not have to fear “the accuser” who seeks to remind us of sin, nor anything else. “The salvation, and the power, and the kingdom” belong to God in Christ (12:10), and we are His.
