Revelation 13-16

“Put in your sickle to reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe” (14:15).  Jesus said that it isn’t our business to figure out when the “last things” will happen (Acts 1:7).  The point of John’s visions was that the end will come, and we should be ready (15:16).  God was reassuring His people that their suffering had purpose; He was preparing for them “new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells” (2 Peter).

God delays judgment because He “is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
