Psalm 68
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden” (v19). Before and after this quiet statement of assurance, we are told about the identity of the Lord who bears our burdens. He is the victorious warrior who “rides through the deserts” (v4), and before Him the earth and heavens tremble (v8). He is the King of Kings leading a procession of singers and dancers, the “God of deliverances” and escapes from death (v20). He is “the father of the fatherless” (v5).
Our King is totally victorious, yet kind enough to “make a home for the lonely” (v6). He is the one who bears our burdens.
