Psalm 68
"God is to us a God of deliverances" (v20). In worship, Israel often retold the stories of their miraculous rescues. These stories proclaim God's faithfulness, and the promise that "only the rebellious dwell in a parched land" (v6). Everyone who wants to find refuge in the Creator is welcome. He is "a father of the fatherless," and "He makes a home for the lonely" (v5-6). The same God who judges the wicked also "daily bears our burdens" (v19).
We can still call on Him in Jesus' name, saying: "Show Thyself strong, O God, who has acted on our behalf!" (v28).
