Malachi 1-2 

“Because the Lord has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion” (2:14).  Most humans prefer to practice an outward, ritual-based religion, and to do whatever they like privately.  But God said that He is “a witness” to our daily lives, from business deals to the way we treat our children and our spouses.  These are the sins that separate us from Him (2:13).

“Do we not all have one father?” (2:10).  Jesus came to heal what is broken, by reconciling us with one another and with the Father (II Cor 5).
