Malachi 3-4
“But for you who fear My name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings” (4:2). Malachi said that those who followed God did not have to fear the coming judgment; God would protect them because their names were written in “the book of remembrance” (3:16). The prophet’s job was to communicate God’s urgent message of salvation: “Return to Me, and I will return to you” (3:7).
As we return to God, we find real healing through Jesus Christ, the “sun of righteousness.” Through Him relationships are restored: between us and our Creator, between fathers and children (4:6), and between husbands and wives.
