Acts 15:13-41
"And when they had read it, they rejoiced because of its encouragement" (v31). In Jerusalem, he apostles and elders debated about what, exactly, should be required of the converts (v6). James, leader of the parent-church, saw the inclusion of the Gentiles as fulfillment of prophecy (v17). To the great joy of the Gentile church, the elders wrote a letter recommending "no greater burden" than basic morality (no fornication or idolatry) and the avoidance of super-offensive things (like blood) for the sake of family peace (v29).
Faith in Jesus was enough. God's family could extend all over the world without hindrance.
