Psalm 150

“Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness” (v1-2). The psalmist exhorts us to worship whole-heartedly. When we are gathered together in God’s presence, we praise Him in word and song. When we are contemplating the sky and sea, we are overwhelmed by His power. When we think about His kind actions, throughout history and for us personally, our hearts fill with thanks.

God’s “excellent greatness” includes all these things. With music, words and our lives, “let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” (v6).
