Romans 1

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them” (v18-19).  This is how the whole human race fell into sin and rejected their built-in knowledge of the Creator.  His “invisible attributes” were evident through “what has been made” (v20), but humans deliberately turned away from this knowledge in order to pursue sin. 

We were created to live in harmony with God.  He entered our ruined world, suffered and died, to rescue us from our own rebellion and reclaim us as His children.
