Genesis 41-42

“Can we find a man like this, in whom is a divine spirit?” (41:38). Pharaoh’s reaction to Joseph clearly demonstrated that Joseph had used his power to glorify God rather than himself. Pharaoh admired Joseph, but he attributed Joseph’s wisdom to the fact that “God has informed you of all this” (v39). Joseph had made it clear: “It is not in me” (v16). Joseph’s great humility allowed God to work through him to save both Egypt and Israel.

Wisdom, creativity, craftsmanship, and leadership are some of the gifts humans enjoy. When we acknowledge the Giver, our works glorify Him.
