January 11: Psalm 71

Psalm 71

"But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise Thee yet more and more" (v14). Over a long life of seeking God (v5), the psalmist discovered that we cannot exhaust God's resources. His love and compassion are endless, so we can hope "continually." If God speaks to us, comforts us, or helps us, it's only the beginning. When we are "old and gray" (v18), He still calls us to declare His faithfulness to the next generation.

God is our rock of habitation, our familiar and secure home (v3). We may continually go to Him.
