January 16: II Kings 7-8

II Kings 7-8

"Behold, if the Lord should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" (7:2). The prophet's prediction defied all logic. Samaria's famine was so severe that they were resorting to cannibalism, and yet Elisha said that "tomorrow about this time" there would be cheap, plentiful food for all. The means and the speed couldn't be imagined; the idea was completely impossible. It could only be accomplished by the same God who raised a boy from the dead and sent fire from heaven.

Faith is believing that God can do even beyond what we have the ability to imagine.
