Matthew 4:12-25

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (v17). Jesus’ ministry was one of compassion and healing, but at the same time He called people to change their behavior. “The gospel of the kingdom of God” was a big concept, including all kinds of “rightness”: physical, emotional, relational, moral, and spiritual. Jesus healed people with all kinds of diseases (v24), and He offered healing for spiritual sickness, too.

Physical and spiritual brokenness fills our world. We are called to preach the good news of Jesus’ healing for every kind of sickness.
