Psalm 73
"They are not in trouble as other men; nor are they plagued like mankind" (v4-5). The psalmist's problem was that he thought godless people had an easy life. Even if we don't agree, most of us have experienced similar envy (v3). Other people seem to have fewer troubles than we do, and we may feel "embittered ... and pierced within" (v21). We wonder if walking with God is really worth it (v13).
These questions are only answered in God's presence. Our sacrifices become small considering the beautiful gift of "the nearness of God" (v28).
