Acts 19
"Many also of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices" (v18). The people of Ephesus who believed Paul's message weren't content simply to stop worshipping idols; they wanted total transformation. Like Apollos (ch 18), they were eager for more of Jesus, even if it meant loss of income and status and tradition. Others seemed interested at first, but became "hardened and disobedient" (19:9).
Our initial decision to follow Jesus is only the beginning. Choice by choice, over time, we grow more or less faithful to His call.
