Acts 20
"I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable ..." (v20). Paul modeled the love of Christ for the Ephesians. He did not consider his own comfort to be a priority, and he tried not to be a burden on the community of believers (v34). Though full of the Spirit, he apparently felt reluctant at times to speak the truth, knowing that the truth often is rejected. Yet, he "did not shrink" from this task.
"The whole purpose of God" (v27) is not an easy thing to declare. Paul followed Jesus, speaking the truth in love.
