January 26: Genesis 23-24

Genesis 23-24

“He will send His angel before you” (24:7). After a lifetime of following Him, Abraham knew that God was trustworthy. Isaac was the child of God’s promise, born when Abraham and Sarah were old, already offered up to God and redeemed on an altar. So Abraham confidently instructed his servant to make a long journey in search of a wife for Isaac. God will go before you, Abraham declared, and you will find Isaac’s wife.

The God who already gave His own Son to rescue us from sin can be trusted to provide everything else we need (Rom 8:32).
