Matthew 4:12-25

“And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease …” (v23).  From the very beginning of His ministry, Jesus lived and proclaimed the good news, and He invited others to join Him.  “Follow me,” He said to Simon and Andrew, James and John, calling them to join His community and participate in His work.  Jesus was totally unique, the God-man, yet He was constantly connecting others to Himself.

Our mission as Jesus-followers reflects His model: to proclaim and live the good news, and to invite others to join us on the way.
