Psalm 5
“But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house” (v7). The psalms are beloved because they remind us constantly of God’s mercy. The psalmist, most likely David, knew that he was not perfect. He trusted in God’s proven kindness toward all those who cry out to Him. “Consider my groaning,” he said, confident that God hears us and cares about our troubles.
“But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy” (v11). Our sin doesn’t have to destroy us; God’s love makes a way for us to enter His house.
