July 1: Job 23-24

Job 23-24

“But He knows the way I take; when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (23:10). What faith! Job declared that he didn’t understand or like his life. He wanted to “argue” his case (he didn’t deserve such misery), but he couldn’t find God. “I go forward, but He is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceive Him” (v8). However, Job trusted that God saw his situation clearly. God understands why, and how, and what will be.

“I have kept His way and not turned aside” (v11). Through pain and darkness and mystery, Job faithfully followed the Creator.
