II Corinthians 8:8-24

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (v9). By His life, death and resurrection, Jesus permanently turned the ways of the world upside down. He showed us that the nature of God is generous love, not hoarding or self-fulfillment. Jesus gave up His own status to become one of us, knowing it was the only way for us to join His kingdom.

When we defy the world’s rules and adopt Jesus’ life of loving generosity, we become truly rich/
