July 13: Luke 12:1-34

Luke 12:1-34

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom” (v32).  Jesus saw the anxious, troubled hearts of men and women.  He taught us to call God “Father,” and to approach Him as beloved children.  We need not fear governments, or poverty, or the future, but only to “fear” (respect) the One who controls heaven and hell (v5).  When our lives are in His hands, we can live in peace.

“Do not be anxious about your life … for life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing” (v23).Our Father “gladly” supplies what we need.
