Luke 12:35-59
“And from everyone who has been given much shall much be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more” (v48). Jesus, time and again, taught people to be wary of judging one another. He saw people’s hearts, and, for example, condemned the Pharisees for their lack of love. But He differentiated between the steward who “knew his master’s will” and ignored it, and one who “did not know it” (v47-48).
Instead of worrying about someone else’s obedience, Jesus calls us to be faithful to His voice in our own lives.
