Deuteronomy 33-34
“So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab …” (34:5). Moses died outside of the Promised Land. In the great faith chapter of Hebrews 11, Moses is described as one who endured trials, “as seeing Him who is unseen” (Heb 11:27). He left the riches of Egypt and wandered in the desert with the Israelites, trusting in the promises of God that would be fulfilled in Christ (Heb 11:26).
Moses didn’t see all that he hoped for come to pass. He willingly risked the loss of wealth and comfort because he knew God “face to face” (Deut 34:10).
