Job 38

“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding …” (v4). What happens when God questions us, face to face? Job had shouted questions at the Creator: Why are you treating me like this? What did I do to deserve such misery? What is the point of my life? And now, the Creator “answered out of the whirlwind” (v1). Job may not really have expected answers, but God had actually been listening.

God didn’t condemn Job. He simply revealed Himself in all His amazing, earth-shaking, universe-creating glory.
