Luke 16

“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much” (v10).  Jesus often said things to make His listeners wake up and confront the urgent reality of the Kingdom of God.  In this case, the “shrewd manager” was affirmed for his clever survival strategy.  Jesus was telling people that they couldn’t afford to spiritually sleep-walk their way through life and expect a reward. Our life with God deserves as much energy and thoughtfulness as our work or families.

Devotion to God doesn’t have to be loud; it can be a “very little thing” which comes from our hearts, where only God sees.
